Ian Melville
Ian has recently retired from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service after 30 years of service. His career began with six years in the British Army, where he honed his skills and commitment to public service. During his time with the Fire Service, Ian demonstrated immense dedication by taking part in initiatives like the Manchester Children's Burns Camp, which supports young burn survivors, and collaborating with Operation Florian, a charity providing humanitarian aid overseas. Though retired, Ian remains actively engaged by working part-time as an interventions officer for the Fire Service, ensuring his valuable expertise continues to benefit the community. In his leisure time Ian spends time with his family, frequently holidaying in North Wales, He enjoys outdoor activities and has recently earned his Sea Kayak Leader Award.
