Ruth has been a firefighter since 2009 and brings a strong sense of service and community to her role as a Trustee of The Being Foundation. She has been involved with the Manchester Children's Burns Camp since 2016, and more recently has the Young Adult Camp since 2024. Ruth’s commitment to using sport as a force for good began during university, when she volunteered in Namibia to deliver HIV/AIDS awareness through sport-based education. Raised in a family-run entertainment business, Small Top Circus, Ruth has a natural flair for bringing people together, something she’s continued by organising charity football matches in support of causes she’s passionate about. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys playing basketball, hiking with her dog, white water rafting, and exploring new places through travel.
