Being Foundation was incredibly proud to be the chosen charity partner for the 25th anniversary celebrations of Off The Rails Comedy Club at The Royal George in Saddleworth.

Following conversations with comedy promoter Rob Riley about organising a fundraising comedy night, Rob very generously offered for Being Foundation to become the named charity partner for the club’s landmark anniversary event, helping raise awareness and support for the Foundation’s work, as well as over £1,000 on the night.

The event featured a fantastic line-up of comedians including Paul Smith, Mick Ferry and Justin Moorhouse, attracting a brilliant audience and creating a fantastic atmosphere across both shows on the evening.

Representing Being Foundation on the night were Trustees Peter Fitzpatrick MBE and Ruth Ardern, who attended the event, met supporters and helped with the fundraising collections. The response from guests was incredibly positive, with many people generously getting behind the Foundation and its work supporting children and young people, including annual ski trips for young burn survivors.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of the difference local communities, venues, businesses and event organisers can make when they come together behind a shared purpose.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Rob Riley, Off The Rails Comedy Club, The Royal George, the performers and everyone who donated or supported the event.

If you, your business or organisation would be interested in organising a fundraising event or supporting Being Foundation, we would love to hear from you.
